  • Stork Craft Crib Recall Announced

Infant entrapment and suffocation prompts Stork Craft to recall more than 2.1 million drop-side Cribs. CPSC urges parents and caregivers to immediately stop using the recalled cribs, wait for the free repair kit, and do not attempt to fix the cribs without the kit. They should find an alternative, safe sleeping environment for their baby. Consumers should contact Stork Craft to receive a free repair kit that converts the drop-side on these cribs to a fixed side. (November 2009)

  • Strategic Planning for Infant/Toddler Targeted Funds Tool Kit

This tool kit is intended to assist States and Territories in engaging in a strategic planning process to support quality child care for infants and toddlers. It is designed to maximize involvement of planning committee members and other stakeholders while minimizing face-to-face meeting requirements. The process can be used to conduct a complete analysis of a State/Territory’s early care and education system to support infant and toddler child care; plan for the use of CCDF infant/toddler targeted funds; or, to address targeted issues such as the development of infant/toddler specialist networks or credentials for the infant/toddler workforce.
