Washington's Child Care and Development Fund Quality Infant/Toddler Targeted Fund:

FY: 2008: The Federal CCDF Quality Infant and Toddler Targeted Funds allocation is $1,619,965.

FY: 2006: The Federal CCDF Infant and Toddler Targeted Funds allocation was $1,617,003.

According to the 2007-2009 CCDF State Plans, the funds are used in the following ways to enhance the Washington infant and toddler child care system (additional funds may be used to support these activities):

  • To continue funding local public health jurisdictions to provide Child Care Health Consultation (nurse consultants through Healthy Child Care Washington) for infants and toddlers.
  • Continued support of on-going training and technical assistance to child care nurse consultants (through Healthy Child Care Washington).
  • Continued support of the development and delivery of training focused on infant/toddler caregiving and/or technical assistance for providers through contracts.
  • Building Bridges with Higher Education − a training partnership between CCRR and community/technical colleges.
