Tennessee's Child Care and Development Fund Quality Infant/Toddler Targeted Fund:

FY: 2008: The Federal CCDF Quality Infant and Toddler Targeted Funds allocation is $2,199,206.

FY: 2006: The Federal CCDF Infant and Toddler Targeted Funds allocation was $2,209,958.

According to the 2007-2009 CCDF State Plans, the funds are used in the following ways to enhance the Tennessee infant and toddler child care system (additional funds may be used to support these activities):

• Continued support of Eight (8) Infant Toddler Specialists who provide on site technical assistance regarding best practices for infants and todders .
• Outreach activities to raise awareness of the need for quality for infant and toddler care.
