Puerto Rico's Child Care and Development Fund Quality Infant/Toddler Earmark:

FY 2006: The Federal CCDF Quality Infant and Toddler Earmark is $1, 874,167.

The funds are used in the following ways to enhance Puerto Rico's infant and toddler child care system (additional funds may be used to support these activities):

• Mini grants for minor remodeling, equipment and educational materials
• Training
• Curriculum development
• Technical assistance
• Specialized support personnel
• Payment of necessary staff to maintain appropriate child-adult ratio
