North Dakota's Child Care and Development Fund Quality Infant/Toddler Targeted Fund:
FY: 2008: The Federal CCDF Quality Infant and Toddler Targeted Funds allocation is is $182,133.
FY: 2006: The Federal CCDF Infant and Toddler Targeted Funds allocation was $187,802.
According to the 2007-2009 CCDF State Plans, the funds are used in the following ways to enhance the North Dakota infant and toddler child care system (additional funds may be used to support these activities):
- Continued support of Infant/Toddler Specialists & Child Care Health Consultants , which provide education on health and safety in the child care setting (through consultation and training workshops), and are involved in assessing environments using the ITERS.
- Continued support to CCR&R's Training Division for infant toddler provider training, including PITC.
- Continued support to the lending libraries of books, resources and equipment for providers to borrow, located at CCR&Rs.
- Continued support of Consumer education provided by CCR&Rs on choosing child care for infants and toddlers, which represents 50% of the calls they receive.
- Support to CCR&Rs in dissemination of child care information to the community.
