New York's Child Care and Development Fund Quality Infant/Toddler Targeted Fund:
FY: 2008: The Federal CCDF Quality Infant and Toddler Targeted Funds allocation is $5,005,196.
FY: 2006: The Federal CCDF Infant and Toddler Targeted Funds allocation was $5,266,271.
According to the 2007-2009 CCDF State Plans, the funds are used in the following ways to enhance the New York infant and toddler child care system (additional funds may be used to support these activities):
- Continued endorsement of outcome based analysis of all state funded programs, including all early childhood quality initiatives.
- Continued support to increased infant toddler day care slots.
- The continuation of Infant/Toddler services on a regional basis to further develop and coordinate the I/T serves regionally in partnership with OCFS. The initiative will create I/T Technical Assistance Centers on a regional basis to promote an understanding.
- Accreditation: Grants to help day care centers and family day care programs serving infants and toddlers achieve NAEYC accreditation.
