Maryland's Child Care and Development Fund Quality Infant/Toddler Targeted Fund:

FY: 2008: The Federal CCDF Quality Infant and Toddler Targeted Funds allocation is $1,191,471.

FY: 2006: The Federal CCDF Infant and Toddler Targeted Funds allocation was $1,287,177.

According to the 2007-2009 CCDF State Plans, the funds are used in the following ways to enhance the Maryland infant and toddler child care system (additional funds may be used to support these activities):

  • Training, mentoring, technical assistance and/or other incentives to child care providers caring for infants and toddlers.
  • Funding of infant/toddler pre-service training for caregivers and potential caregivers at five community colleges. This funding includes tuition, fees, and books for students who live and work in MD.
