Kansas's Child Care and Development Fund Quality Infant/Toddler Targeted Fund:

FY: 2008: The Federal CCDF Quality Infant and Toddler Targeted Funds allocation is $906, 503.

FY: 2006: The Federal CCDF Infant and Toddler Targeted Funds allocation was $922,380.

According to the 2007-2009 CCDF State Plans, the funds are used in the following ways to enhance the Kansas infant and toddler child care system (additional funds were used to support these activities):

  • Continued support of the Kansas Infant and Toddler Specialist Project, which placed Infant/Toddler Specialists in all 16 Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies across Kansas to provide support to child care providers who care for infants and toddlers.
  • Project Excel− a training program throughout the State, focused on improving the quality and availability of Infant/Toddler care.
