Illinois's Child Care and Development Fund Quality Infant/Toddler Targeted Fund:
FY: 2008: The Federal CCDF Quality Infant and Toddler Targeted Funds allocation is $3,618,864.
FY: 2006: The Federal CCDF Infant and Toddler Targeted Funds allocation was $3,721,983.
According to the 2007-2009 CCDF State Plans, the funds are used in the following ways to enhance the Illinois infant and toddler child care system (additional funds may be used to support these activities):
- Infant and Toddler Incentive Program to expand capacity for infants and toddlers.
- Equipment/Facility Improvement Grants or Quality and Capacity Mini-Grants to support quality improvement.
- Child care nurse consultants in partnership with Health Child Care Illinois.
- Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant Pilot Project to address the social/emotional needs of young children.
