District of Columbia's Child Care and Development Fund Quality Infant/Toddler Targeted Fund:

FY: 2008: The Federal CCDF Quality Infant and Toddler Targeted Funds allocation is $138,841.

FY: 2006: The Federal CCDF Infant and Toddler Targeted Funds allocation was $151,710.

According to the 2007-2009 CCDF State Plans, the funds are used in the following ways to enhance the District of Columbia infant and toddler child care system (additional funds may be used to support these activities):

• Infant and toddler supply expansion (i.e. to increase slots).
• The District of Columbia Infant and Toddler Initiative which will address professional development, capacity building and expansion, and program assessment and research.
