Alabama's Child Care and Development Fund Quality Infant/Toddler Targeted Fund:
FY: 2008: The Federal CCDF Quality Infant and Toddler Targeted Funds allocation is $1,922,258.
FY: 2006: The Federal CCDF Infant and Toddler Targeted Funds allocation was $1, 987,547.
According to the 2007-2009 CCDF State Plans, the funds are used in the following ways to enhance Alabama's infant and toddler child care system (additional funds may be used to support these activities):
- Infant and Toddler targeted training offered through Child Care Quality Enhancement Contractors.
- Right from Birth, a collaborative with Alabama Public Television.
- I/T Teacher Support Project that includes a mentoring program and ITERS assessment.
- Continued support of Early Childhood Resources, which implements the I/T Priority Outreach contract that provides consultation, training and support for I/T center classrooms.
